Monongalia

MonongaliaDealer license in West Virginia would soon be introduced. Monongalia County, known locally as the Mon County is a county located in the U.S. state of West Virginia. In 2010 census, the population was 96,189. Its county seat of Morgantown. The county is included in Morgantown, West Virginia Metropolitan Statistical Area and is the largest county in North Central West Virginia. Monongalia County is named after the Monongahela River. The Monongalia name may be a misspelling of the Monongahela. Alternatively, the conventional Latin suffix “-ia” (name of “Land of …” or “country …” – as in Arabia, Bolivia and Colombia) have been added to the Monongahela (ie “Land of the Monongahela “)
